Operations Manager

Salary:

-$125,000 – $200,000

-Incentive performance / KPI’s driven quarterly bonus plan

 

Job Description

We want someone who can evaluate our strengths and challenges, and drive sales and process improvement through a collaborative, transparent management style. They must act as a change agent to instill collaboration, communication, vision, and problem-solving capabilities throughout the organization. The operations manager will work in collaboration with the organization to develop, align and implement sales growth initiatives and operational efficiencies, SOP’s, capabilities, and systems to support short and long-term EBITDA improvement, delivery performance, asset effectiveness, supply flexibility and availability all the while improving the company’s bottom line results strategically and tactically. The objective is to reduce costs, increase service levels, and achieve operational excellence as a Best-in-Class organization. The main focus is to provide leadership for continued aggressive growth and build the organization to be the best in the industry.

-Responsible for the day-to-day operations of our local and international facilities.

-Oversight of staff in sales, operations, maintenance, driver relations/recruiting, safety, marketing, company drivers and independent contractors (OO and LOO), customer service and planning.

-Implementing a corporate strategic plan including setting standards, processes, and procedures for our business operations.

-Responsible for the development of our overall strategic direction and business plan including P&L, annual budget, and staff leadership

 

Requirements:

-Transportation &/or Logistics Executive experience (10 years)

-Strong PL, Balance Sheet, Business Plan financial acumen with a history of delivering strong financial results

-Possesses a drive to establish standardized business procedures throughout the organization (KPI’s, Metrics, SOP’s)

-People processes experience (Management development, Training, Retention, Succession planning)

-Strong Progressive Leadership Responsibility with definable positive change management results

-Management or Supervision of a large geographic organization with large diverse workforce (full-time/hourly/drivers/multi-cultural)

-College Graduate-BA or BS (Business or related field) Preferred

-Experience growing a carrier into larger entity

-Advanced Degree: Masters (i.e. MBA)
